With the aim of creating a multimedia interface for exclusively educational and collaborative purposes, this website presents an informational overview of the contributions of Manoel Rodrigues Alves, a professor and researcher at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (IAU-USP), and his peers within the broad area of Theory of Architecture and Urbanism. The proposal establishes dialogues of cooperation between his achievements and work partnerships that are organized here by the areas of academic activity — research, teaching, extension and production; with particular emphasis on the linking of materials produced through the Laboratory of Studies of the Contemporary Urban Environment (LEAUC-USP).

Manoel Rodrigues Alves has been the coordinator of the LEAUC group since 2009, having previously graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Mackenzie University (1980), master's degree from the School of Architecture of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1987), PhD from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (2001); in addition to having a postdoctorate from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of the University of Seville, in the OUT_Arquias Group (2009-2010), and acting as a visiting professor at the University of Seville (ETSA-US); Faculty of Architecture KU Leuven and at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (FADU).
